(Lessons from Colossians)
The Church at Colosse was a church surrounded by a conglomerate of false teaching and beliefs.
On the one hand there was Greek Philosophy which said, Christ plus knowledge equals salvation, on the other hand there was Jewish Ceremony which said, Christ plus works equals salvation.
So Paul wrote Colossians to state that Christ plus nothing equals salvation. Now this book of Colossians is relevant and that for a number of reasons.
(1) There is the Astrological Reason, (2) There is the Practical Reason, (3) There is the Ecumenical Reason, (4) There is the Moral Reason, (5) There is the Prophetical Reason
